We believe that when women and girls thrive, entire communities prosper. ECLRD provides programs that build confidence, leadership, and resilience among women and girls. Through mentorship, advocacy, and safe community spaces, we equip them with the tools they need to reach their full potential and actively shape a more equal society.
Ending violence begins with changing attitudes and behaviors. Our team works with faith leaders, community elders, and local influencers to challenge harmful cultural norms that perpetuate abuse and inequality. By fostering dialogue and encouraging respect, we create safer communities where everyone can live free from fear.
We provide compassionate, survivor-centered care for women and children who have experienced violence. This includes psychosocial support, trauma-informed counseling, and referral pathways to specialized services. Our approach ensures that survivors are heard, respected, and empowered to rebuild their lives with dignity.
Faith leaders and young people play a vital role in transforming communities. ECLRD equips Christian and Muslim leaders with the knowledge and skills to challenge gender-based violence, while also engaging youth as ambassadors of peace and respect. Together, they act as agents of change in creating a more just and inclusive society.
Poverty often increases vulnerability to violence and inequality. Through our Savings with Education (SwE) and micro-finance initiatives, we help women and survivors access credit, start small businesses, and achieve economic independence. These opportunities enable families to build resilience and break the cycle of dependency.
We strengthen local networks to ensure that communities are resilient and self-sustaining. From training leaders to mobilizing resources, ECLRD promotes collective action for long-term solutions. Our community-driven approach fosters trust, cooperation, and the belief that transformation is possible when people work together.
Knowledge is a powerful tool for change. ECLRD raises awareness on human rights, gender equality, and social justice through education and advocacy campaigns. By equipping individuals with accurate information and platforms to speak out, we challenge injustice and amplify the voices of those often left unheard.
In times of crisis, ECLRD responds with compassion and practical support. Whether during Liberia’s civil war, the Ebola epidemic, or other emergencies, we have provided food, health education, and relief services. Our humanitarian efforts prioritize dignity and solidarity, ensuring no one is left behind.
We know that sustainable change requires collaboration. ECLRD works alongside churches, NGOs, government agencies, and community groups to expand our impact. These partnerships allow us to share knowledge, strengthen programs, and deliver holistic solutions that meet both immediate needs and long-term goals.
